In order to reach a stiff link between air cushion and machine

the air bearings body is designed in a stiff monolytic way

• A monolithic morphology of Eitzenberger air bearing body transfers stiffness of air cushion directly to machine frame.
• There is only a small bending.
• Bending is precompensated by a concave design of bearing surface. Thus under full load bearing surface becomes a flat.
• The stiff bearing body and the micro groove design enables to minimize the surface concavity. This improves the bearings performance.
