Test Set up:

• Air bearing with nominal load with out air supply (simulation of failure in air supply)
• Air bearing spin able around spherical fixation screw

Tribolic conditions:

• Tribolic partner: Air bearing with emergency coating / granite
• Tribolic condition: Dry running without air, without oil
• Pressure on air bearing surface: 25 N/cm²
• Relative speed: 0,25 m/s; constant
• Size of bearing: Pad D = 50 mm
• Force on bearing: 500 N (= nominal load at 5 bar)

Test results:

• Load capacity of air bearing after test almost the same value as before the test
• Granite with out demage
